2024 Ford Bronco combines SUV practicality with all-terrain capability, open-top fun, and a rad retro look, the Bronco is perhaps the most charming SUV in the Ford lineup. The original Bronco was one of Ford’s first SUVs and lasted for generations into the early 1990s. Ford is reviving the Bronco for 2021, offering it in two- and four-door configurations with I-4 and V-6 powertrains available. Any changes for 2024 will likely be limited to new paint colors and aesthetic options, and possibly new trim variants or special editions.
With personality and ability in equal measure, the Ford Bronco is hard not to kick. It looks amazing, blending cues from its legendary forefathers in a totally modern way. The inside is also modern, which proves to be both functional and stylish with details like exposed screws and built-in auxiliary switches.
As the pavement ends, the Bronco drives on. Standard four-wheel drive and GOAT mode allow it to tackle rough terrain. However, on the road, we found the Bronco to be rough, with an unsettled and noisy ride. Its shape is like a brick and does not support fuel economy. While there’s a lot to like about the cabin, a few flimsy interior finishes spoil the experience.

2024 Ford Bronco Review
The Ford Bronco is a highly capable off-roader that makes minimal sacrifices for road-driving ability. Disadvantages include fuel economy, wind noise, braking distance, and some cheap-looking interior materials. Otherwise, the Bronco is fun to ride and easy to live with. From its character and design to its helpful ride modes and extensive off-road package availability, the Bronco is the best buy among its competitors for most buyers.
Off-road adventure has enjoyed a resurgence in recent years. Perhaps this is a rebound for many who have been cooped up during the pandemic, but it could also be due to new vehicles capable of off-roading. The Ford Bronco is easily one of the most popular, and its all-terrain credentials are up there with the iconic Jeep Wrangler.
After a very successful launch and variant introductions in the three years since, we don’t expect any significant changes to the 2024 Ford Bronco. We may get some fresh paint options and a special edition submodel, but we doubt we’ll see anything as impactful as the Raptor trim or Everglades from previous years.
That’s fine with us because the Bronco is already one of the best off-road SUVs around. However, it’s not perfect, and we cover every aspect in our Expert Rating below. If you’re hoping to get out into the wilderness, you really can’t do much better, even against strong rivals like the Jeep Wrangler, Land Rover Defender, and Toyota 4Runner.
Whether you stick with the turbo four-cylinder or opt for the turbo V6, the Bronco has enough power and is smooth for everyday driving with its fast-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission. The V6’s extra oomph makes ramps and short merges easier and more enjoyable, and the V6 Bronco reaches 60 mph from a standstill in 7.3 seconds, which is average considering its massive tires and four-door configuration.
Jumping hard on the brakes resulted in a lot of dipping, which is normal for an off-road SUV, although the emergency stop distance was much longer than we would have liked. From 60 mph, the panic stop takes 146 feet; we usually see that kind of distance with heavy-duty pickup trucks. It’s worth noting that our test Bronco came with the Sasquatch off-road package and its rugged tires, but other Broncos we’ve tested with less aggressive rubber only stopped 10 feet shorter — that’s still longer than we would have liked. see.
The real star is the rudder. Thanks to the independent front suspension, the Bronco’s steering wheel provides the driver with confidence and stability at motorway speeds. While you shouldn’t expect exhilaration on winding roads, you’ll appreciate that steering on long-distance trips just won’t work.

2024 Bronco Changes
Ford Bronco Refresh by the Ford Bronco slated to start in 2025 creates a 4-year gap between the all-new 2021. It is stated that FoMoCo has decided to move the refresh of the Ford Bronco one year to 2024 although there are no immediate details on the change.
And usually, the cycle pair refresh is generally carried out in the automotive world once every 3 or 4 years, therefore the refresh by Ford has an appeal to look forward to.
In addition, the 2024 Ford Bronco Changes will also be available with a Sasquatch package and a 7-speed manual.
This is followed by a new Capable front bumper and a 4-door Ford Bronco roof rack that may be called the Everglades. Meanwhile, the Wildtrak Package will downgrade its standard MIC hardtop for a soft top.
The good news is that the Ford Bronco will begin to be introduced to the Middle East and European markets with an unusual steering wheel setting that will be the right side of the wheel.
Ford CEO Jim Farley also looks set to introduce a new generation of Ford Bronco with All-Electric which Ford dares to invest heavily in EVs and plans to turn the entire North American product line into electric power.
2024 Bronco Updates
The Ford Bronco is finally reaching customers despite a lot of production difficulties before and after the launch that debuted in July 2020 for the 2021 model year.
Although a report from the FA suggests we are not too comfortable with the SUV design According to the publication Ford will give the Bronco a mid-cycle facelift. for the 2025 model year, it is still a mystery how extensive the redesign will be.
The 2024 Bronco Refresh doesn’t seem too soon Over the last few years it feels like Refreshments should update the SUV’s fascia although they may not receive any substantial changes if Ford is to maintain the retro style of the model.
In particular, Ford had difficulty shipping the Broncos to customers due to problems with the hardtop which led the company to announce it would replace all the colored ones.
Ford is also preparing to debut the tough Ford Bronco Raptor slated for a 2022 release. It will certainly give the SUV off-road capabilities with a lot of power under the hood but it’s not clear what kind of powertrain the Bronco Raptor will use.
Automotive development doesn’t end with the debut of the car or when delivery begins. Engineering and designers often provide ideas and innovations for the next drawing planning and the next iteration.
We’re not exactly sure how Ford will refresh the Bronco in the next few years, though so far we’re happy to see how the design evolves.
2024 Ford Bronco Interior
While far from a luxury vehicle, the Bronco is more comfortable on the road than the equivalent Jeep Wrangler, its direct competitor. Bronco seats feature better support and enough adjustability to reduce fatigue on long motorway rides. The truck-based construction means it travels a bit firmer and wobbler than other SUVs, but not enough to make you never want to drive it again.
Available and effective dual-zone climate control allows you to adjust the intensity of the automatic settings, and the heated front seats work very quickly, which is especially good if you turn off the door on a cold day. The removable hardtop lets in a significant amount of wind noise at nearly any speed, dragging down the Bronco’s score in this category. There was also some rattle and vibration during our off-road testing.
As with any off-road vehicle, getting in and out of the Bronco requires a decent step up or down, but there are plenty of grab bars placed throughout the cab to help. We’d prefer the front grip handle to be placed on the windscreen pillar rather than the dash, but it will work in a pinch. Inside, a wide range of adjustments for the driver’s seat and steering wheel ensure that all controls and gauges are easily seen. We appreciate the big, bulky physical controls; their size and placement make them easy to see and use when you’re wearing gloves.
Plenty of headroom makes the Bronco’s interior feel big. This feeling continues in the rear seats, even in the two-door models, but accessing those seats in the two-door Bronco can be tricky as the front seats don’t slide forward far enough.
There’s a mix of standard and driver assistance tools available, including adaptive cruise control and an exterior camera. Additionally, the Bronco is available with a useful set of off-road driver aids that can be individually controlled by experienced drivers or automatically engaged by the vehicle through different riding modes for beginners. Unfortunately, we found several systems, including adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assistance, to be poorly tuned.
Otherwise, the Bronco benefits from Ford’s latest infotainment and connectivity software. The center display offers clean graphics and easy integration with Android and Apple smartphones, whether you want to go wired or wireless. The stereo in our test vehicle had trouble masking road noise at motorway speeds.
The Bronco’s larger size compared to the Wrangler translates to a larger interior with more cargo volume. But the four-door Bronco has less room than the similarly sized Toyota 4Runner. The Bronco’s rear swing gate opens to the passenger’s side and stays in place thanks to struts. On hardtop models, the rear glass folds down easily, but the soft top doesn’t open very wide and requires a support bar to keep it upright.
Interior storage options are adequate, with the appropriate number of cupholders and nooks and crannies for personal items. The mesh on the door pocket is too shallow for most water bottles. The front seatbacks on some models have Molle-style attachment points for hanging equipment.
An optional trailer hitch that includes four- and seven-pin connectors give the Bronco the ability to tow up to 3,500 pounds. The trailer brake controller is not included but is available as an accessory. All Broncos pull flat (all four wheels on the ground).
2024 Ford Bronco MPG
Since this is a newer vehicle with a 10-speed automatic transmission, we expected better fuel economy from the Bronco. The four-cylinder Broncos have fuel economy that the EPA estimates ranges from 17 to 20 mpg combined. Likewise, the six-cylinder version ranges from a combined 17 mpg to a combined 19 mpg. Generally, this figure is lower than comparable Jeep Wrangler models.
Our test vehicle, a four-door First Edition Bronco with a 2.7-liter V6, had an EPA estimate of 17 mpg. We can match that estimate for mixed rides, but aside from Jeep’s V8-powered 392, that’s a lower estimate than any Wrangler you can buy.
2024 Bronco Engine
The 2024 Bronco will likely continue the engine options offered previously. That includes a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 275 hp and 315 lb-ft of torque on regular fuel or 300 hp and 325 lb-ft on premium. It is connected to either a 10-speed automatic or a seven-speed manual transmission. We tested the manual-transmission two-door Bronco, which accelerated to 60 mph in 7.7 seconds. Fuel economy should be 16–20 or 17–21 mpg city/highway.
The available 2.7-litre twin-turbo V-6 produces 315 hp and 410 lb-ft, or 330 hp and 415 lb-ft on premium fuel. The downside to that added power is that it’s only compatible with a 10-speed automatic—no manual here. In our test, the four-door Bronco with this engine accelerated to 60 mph in 8.3 seconds. It should get around 17–18 or 17–20 mpg.
Some people may be disappointed by some of the Bronco’s cheap-looking interior materials, especially on high-end models, but others may see long-term durability benefits when the interior is exposed to the elements. The Bronco delivers off-road hardware more broadly across its price spectrum than the Jeep Wrangler, giving shoppers greater access at a variety of price points. However, it should be noted that our test vehicle is a First Edition Bronco, which costs over $60,000. That’s a big price tag, but luckily, it comes with pretty much all of the standard and optional equipment the Bronco offers.
Warranty allowance and average ownership with a three-year/36,000-mile base warranty and a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty The corrosion warranty lasts five years regardless of mileage, and roadside assistance is provided for five years or 60,000 miles.
Bronco Hybrid or All-Electric?
Ford has made no secret of its electric intentions and has electrified some of its most famous nameplates to further that mission. Following the Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning, could an all-electric Bronco be on the way? We don’t think it’s outside the realm of possibility—rather, perhaps it’s more of an inevitability. A hybrid powertrain could arrive before a fully electric version, but either way, it could still be a year or two away from being unveiled. Whenever the electrified Ford Bronco arrives, it will compete with other battery-powered off-roaders such as the Jeep Wrangler 4xe, Rivian R1S, and Mercedes-Benz EQG.
Sasquatch or Everglades?
If the Bronco isn’t quite up to par as standard, Ford offers different options to increase its off-road prowess. One way to go is the Sasquatch package, which adds hardware like 35-inch tires on beadlock-enabled wheels, heightening suspension, locking front and rear axles, wider fender flares, and other goodies. Another way is with the Bronco Everglades, which builds on top of the Sasquatch package with equipment meant to enhance its wading performance, such as a snorkel, raised axle air vents, and a built-in Warn winch.
2024 Ford Bronco Raptor
The sixth-generation Ford Bronco is currently in its third model year, although the high-performance, off-road-focused Ford Bronco Raptor is only debuting for the 2022 model year. So far, aside from some dealer stock, the Bronco Raptor is limited to reservation and order holders by default, although that may change soon. Now, the Ford Authority has taken a look at the 2024 Ford Bronco Raptor, which sports not only a new paint color but also some revised graphics.
For starters, the most obvious change here is the Shelter Green Metallic paint covering the sides of this 2024 Ford Bronco Raptor, which is currently an exclusive hue only available on the new 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor. Additionally, this particular SUV is equipped with Code Orange-painted front hooks and bead lock rings. Last year, Ford added a variety of painted beadlock rings to its own catalog for Bronco customers, in particular.
Code Orange also plays a big role in the graphic appearance of the 2024 Ford Bronco Raptor, although the design itself is slightly different from the current one. Currently, the optional Bronco Raptor graphics are finished in a combination of silver, grey, and black and do not extend to the side mirrors on the back of the MIC top, as is the case here. It’s possible that these Code Orange accents may be part of a new separate cosmetic package or possibly as standard equipment, although that’s unclear at this time.
Aside from what appear to be the currently optional 17-inch beadlock-enabled wheels, the Bronco Raptor also features body-colored fender flares, which is something to be aware of given the fact that this model is currently only available with black flares.
At this time, it’s also unclear what we can expect from the 2024 Bronco in general, although we do know that some 2023 model year orders may not be filled, and those orders won’t carry over to the 2024 model year as has been the case. case since the launch of the SUV—to be more precise, those orders will be canceled, and FoMoCo might as well ditch its reservation system. Additionally, the Heritage Edition is set to get a new Peak Blue exterior color option, while “Work”, “Premium”, and “Heritage+” models are expected to join the lineup in the future.
2024 Ford Bronco Truck
The Ford Bronco Truck means more than just an SUV it is also the start of a new off-road sub-brand that will consist of the smaller but still highly capable Bronco Sport and a nationwide network of specialty Bronco stores and Ford-sponsored outdoor adventure activities for their owners.
AN claims Blue Oval never confirmed the Bronco truck plans to launch. Turning the Bronco into a truck with a bed wouldn’t have happened without a historical precedent.
The first-generation Bronco, revealed in 1966, came in a variety of body styles, including a truck with a short bed.
In theory, reviving such a vehicle would make sense but that was before the pandemic hit. Since then, the automaker has struggled with production problems stemming from a lack of semiconductor chips. This shortage is expected to continue in the future.
Ford and its fellow automakers are focusing production efforts on core and profitable vehicles, particularly trucks and SUVs.
Ford seems to have concluded that it needs to focus its energies on solving Bronco’s manufacturing problems and fulfilling a large number of orders.
In addition, Ford also wants to increase its battery-electric vehicle offerings so that creating another combustion engine truck no longer presents a viable business case.
This is all our speculation as Ford has said nothing on the matter. Again, it’s not hard to see the Bronco truck not starting with a few aspects into consideration.
2024 Ford Bronco Pickup
Although the Ford Bronco Pickup will be launched with 2.3-liter and 2.7-liter turbocharged four and six-cylinder engines, the Bronco SUV is expected to get Ford’s 3.0-liter EcoBoost turbo V-6 in a future update, possibly in the form of the Bronco Raptor.
That speculation would leave the door open for the rumored addition of Ford’s 5.0-liter V-8 to take the top slot in the Bronco pickup line.
The Bronco pickup offers a choice of the same seven-speed manual and 10-speed automatic transmissions for the 2.3-liter and the same 10-speed automatic configuration for the 2.7-liter V-6. If the 5.0-liter V-8 makes it to the Bronco pickup we’re sure to experience a 10-speed automatic.
The Bronco pickup will offer the same equipment and trim packages as the bedless Bronco such as the GOAT-mode (Goes Over Any Terrain) terrain management system, as well as Badlands, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, and Wildtrak specs.
The Sasquatch Bronco pack is also likely to make the transition. However, the Bronco SUV is available in two-door and four-door body styles and the Bronco pickup will only be available in a four-door Crew Cab configuration.
The limited-volume First Edition package for the first year of production of the Bronco pickup will cost $60,000. Other Bronco pickup trims should map closely to the price structure of the Bronco SUV with the base model likely starting around $30,000.
Ford filled 3,500 orders for the First Edition Bronco SUV model just hours after its launch, then decided to double that number to 7,000.
We believe in one thing Ford launched the Bronco sub-brand for a reason and it seems that reason is bigger than the Bronco Sport.
Between its off-road stamp and quirky styling, the Bronco brand might be just what Ford needed to grow its already-dominant position in the pickup truck space.
Not to mention considering a unibody pickup to take on the Ranger’s smaller segment, gives further indication that the Blue Oval at least thinks it’s possible to offer multiple pieces of the pickup truck pie of different sizes and shapes without sacrificing itself.
2024 Ford Bronco Sport
We are sure that fans of the Ford Bronco Sport will love the changes Ford has brought to the popular compact SUV. Now for the 2024 model year, Ford is adding two more unique Bronco Sports to keep things interesting. There’s a new retro-inspired Free Wheeling special edition (cool!) and a standard Bronco chase Sport with the addition of a black appearance package.
2024 Ford Bronco Sport Off-Road
Beginning in the mid-1970s, Ford sought to appeal to a younger generation by releasing a series of brightly colored Bronco, F-100, and F-150 trucks in a new Free Wheeling special edition. The package includes red, orange, and yellow patterns throughout the body, black accents on the mirrors and bumper, and matching pinstriping and upholstery stitching on the inside.
Likewise, the 2024 Ford Bronco Sports Free Wheeling Edition features red, orange, yellow, and silver reflective graphics on the sides of the body, liftgate and hood. It featured a silver-painted grille, modified lower front fascia and a two-tone Bronco badge on the nose. The roof is finished in Shadow Black to complement the red-accented gloss black 17-inch alloy wheels. The interior is finished in Black Onyx and Dark Space Grey, with “sunset-colored” seat inserts and ombre embroidery that extends down to the door trim.
2024 Ford Bronco Sport Black Appearance Package
The available 2024 Ford Bronco Sport Black Appearance package differs from the special Free Wheeling edition, which is reportedly inspired by night paradises in remote locations. The package consists of black carbon grille inserts with two-tone Bronco lettering, matte black 17-inch alloy wheels, Shadow Black roof, matte black bonnet stickers, black trim accents and badges, and a smoked chrome Ford badge. The bundle includes Sport Contour seats and bucking Bronco badges on the dashboard for the interior.
“Bronco Sports customers have requested the stylish black finish available on the F-150, Maverick, and Mustang, so we’re shipping the new Black Look Package,” said Jason Hyde, Bronco Sports Marketing Manager. “It also enhances the night-sky gauge cluster graphic that Bronco Sport subscribers see in the Milky Way-themed splash screen.”
Big Bend 2024 Ford Bronco Sport
The new Free Wheeling special edition Bronco Sport includes the Big Bend upgrade group, which includes a rubber cargo floor, start button, heated mirrors, and second-row MOLLE straps and storage system, minus any overlapping upgrades (such as custom wheels, grille, and color roof) that is included with the package. Additionally, the Black Appearance Package is exclusive to the Big Bend Bronco Sport model.
All-New Black Diamond Off-Road Package
The Ford Bronco Sport is running fairly smoothly except for one production cut caused by a shortage of semiconductor chips. Despite this, this model has received mostly positive reviews and won prestigious safety awards. According to a report circulating the Ford Bronco Sport Hybrid is expected to launch in 2024 although it did not specify what type of powertrain the crossover would receive.
However, the Bronco Sport was built at the Ford Hermosillo Assembly Plant along with the Ford Maverick which is standard equipped with a Ford Atkinson 2.5L cycle four-cylinder hybrid drivetrain rated to produce 191 (total system) horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque. It is possible that the Bronco Sport hybrid will get the same powertrain as the Ford Escape hybrid or it may use an updated version when it launches in 2024.
All three vehicles share the same Ford C2 platform in terms of increasing efficiency, especially for Bronco Sport.
The journey after its 2020 launch for the 2021 model year. The Ford Bronco Sport has received some minor changes and the 2023 model year seems poised to continue that trend which is expected to continue in the 2024 Ford Bronco model. As reported by the FA (Ford Authority) the other day, the Ford Bronco Sport could get a Heritage model like its big brother that adds a few retro touches to the crossover’s tough, off-road focus.
It would be impressive to continue with the 2024 Ford Bronco Sport lineup for the all-new Off-Road Black Diamond package.
Unfortunately, the Ford Bronco Sport Black Diamond Off-Road package is available as an option on current Big Bend and Outer Banks trim models paired with the Class II Tow Trailer Package.
Including underbody protection, the same custom graphics package, and 17 low gloss aluminum alloy wheels painted in Carbonized Gray previously only available on the Bronco Sport Badlands and Continental 225/65 R17 all-terrain tires.
The tire sizes are similar to those on the Bronco Sport Badlands although the model uses Falken Wildpeak rubber instead of Continental.
The Off-Road Black Diamond package shares the same name as the trim level found in the regular Bronco lineup – the Black Diamond which also features underbody protection and some additional off-road-related features.
2024 Ford Bronco Models
Ford hasn’t released any official information about the 2024 Bronco as of this writing. We’ll update our recommendations if anything changes, but based on last year’s Bronco, the Legacy Edition is our go-to. You get increased off-road capability with the included Sasquatch package, as well as additional technology and safety features with the Mid package. The retro-cool styling cues are an added bonus.
The following unofficial information is based on last year’s Broncos. We expect the 2024 model will have a similar lineup, and we will update this section once we have complete information. The Ford Bronco is a four-wheel-drive SUV available in seven main trim levels: Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, and Everglades.
With the exception of the Everglades, which is only four doors, all are available as two doors or four doors and can be outfitted with a long list of options, from appearance and personalization options to different roofs to off-roading hardware, wheels, and other accessories. There’s also an eighth trim called the Raptor, which adds a more powerful engine and plenty of off-road hardware.
