New 2027 Ford F250 Super Duty Specs, Price and Reviews

Posted on

2027 Ford F250 is a solid pick. We think the new model will come with several cab and bed options and three powerful engine options. This will make Ford’s most powerful pickup ready to do any job, no matter how tough. The normal 6.8-liter V-8 gasoline engine makes 405 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque, but if you haul large loads a lot, you’ll want the strong 6.7-liter V-8 Power Stroke diesel engine beneath the hood. The truck can pull up to 40,000 pounds because of its 1,200 pound-feet torque.

The Super Duty is also very luxurious. The top-of-the-line King Ranch and Platinum trims have leather-lined cabins where you can rest after a long workday.

2027 Ford F250 Reviews

Ford F250 for 2027: “Product Day!” was the first thing they wrote on Instagram. My favorite this month. Great talks and arguments exist on the Ford Digital Experience, upcoming Mustangs, and Super Dutys. Is this a sneak peek of the new 2027 Ford Super Duty? Let’s look into it more and see if we can learn anything.

2027 Ford F250

The picture above shows the inside of a pickup truck cab, featuring seats and a dashboard. The notch at the top of the windshield makes it look like an F-150 or Super Duty cab. We may guess it’s a Super Duty cab because the CEO indicated they were discussing a Super Duty (F-250, F-350, etc.). The dashboard is highly similar to the new 2025 Ford Expedition. There are two screens on the dashboard, one on the other. Look below.

Ford hasn’t officially announced upgrades to the 2027+ Ford Super Duty yet, so this is all just guesswork. The online configurator and ordering guide for the 2026 Super Duty are now accessible. It’s possible that these Instagram photographs show a rough draft of the prototype that people are talking about and arguing about. This isn’t the finished result.

The Next Generation 2027 Ford F250

Ford said Tuesday that the next iteration of the F-Series Super Duty pickup truck would be electric. The F-Series full-size pickup truck line has been the best-selling vehicle in the United States for almost 40 years. Because of high demand, Ford will start making Super Duty trucks at its Oakville Assembly Complex in Ontario, Canada, in 2026. As part of the announcement about production, Ford revealed that the next-generation Super Duty pickup truck will have a hybrid powertrain.

Ford’s announcement isn’t very clear, but they note that this expansion “paves the way to bring multi-energy technology to the next generation of Super Duty trucks.” We don’t think the Super Duty will be totally electric, especially given that EVs aren’t as good at towing and carrying as gas trucks. However, a hybrid powertrain would make great sense, especially since the smaller F-150 vehicle is so popular.

The latest F-150 has a hybrid arrangement that puts an electric motor between the twin-turbo V-6 engine and the transmission. We don’t know what engine the next Super Duty will have either. The current version features two gasoline V-8s (6.8 liters and 7.3 liters) and a 6.7-liter diesel V-8.

Ford said that adding heavy-duty vehicle production to the Oakville Assembly Complex, the third Super Duty factory, will initially provide them enough space to make 100,000 more trucks. The plan will also bring 1,800 more jobs to Oakville and 150 more positions to the Windsor Engine Complex, which is situated in Ontario and makes Super Duty V-8 engines. Ford added that the Kentucky Truck Plant and the Ohio Assembly Plant, also Super Duty plants, are already filled. The expansion will cost a total of $3 billion.

Ford also said in the same release that it “remains committed to developing a thriving and profitable electric vehicle business,” notably mentioning its three-row electric SUV. Ford had planned to release a three-row electric vehicle in 2025. This vehicle is believed to be an electric version of the popular Explorer.

Ford said earlier this year that the electric SUV would be delayed until 2027 because they are working on better battery technology. The Oakville plant will also make the three-row EV.

  • The next generation of Ford Super Duty pickup trucks will probably use a hybrid engine.
  • Ford said that its upcoming heavy-duty vehicles will use “multi-energy technology,” which sounds like a hybrid system.
  • Ford is also increasing the number of Super Duty trucks it makes at its factory in Oakville, Ontario, by creating space for 100,000 more trucks.

Competitor

For decades, the Ford Super Duty has been competing strongly with the Chevrolet Silverado HD and Ram HD, all three trucks trying to be the best workhorse. The Super Duty has the most excellent towing rating, but the Ram HD was redesigned, and the Silverado HD series has even more options.

2027 Ford F250 Price

We think the 2027 Ford F250 will cost between $49,270 and $82,260 based on trim and options. The F-250 with a roomy crew cab, a standard 8-foot cargo bed, and a single-axle rear axle is what we suggest. We think the mid-range Lariat trim is the greatest choice since it offers the best balance of comfort and value for money.

To get the most out of your truck, you might want to get the high-powered Power Stroke diesel engine. It does cost a lot more, but if you need to tow and haul a lot, it’s hard to beat.

Verdict

Why do you think the 2027 model year is a good idea? The US pickup truck industry is predicted to be quite busy in 2027. The 2027 GM 1500 pickup truck and the 2027 GM HD diesel pickup truck are camouflaged prototypes. Ford will be there soon if GM is contemplating significant changes. There are many competitors in this market.

The Ram Charger hybrid, the Ram TRX, and the Jeep Gladiator 4xe hybrid will all be available for sale in the next 12 months. An upgraded F-150 may also be coming out. The Super Duty lineup got a significant overhaul for the 2023 model year, so it may get another one for 2027. Again, this is just a guess.
