What We Expect

A retro-style Free Wheeling trim joins the Bronco lineup for 2025. It’s based on the entry-level Big Bend model and finished with 1970s-inspired multi-colored stripes on the body sides. The cabin is full of harsh plastics, which we know Ford utilizes since they don’t feel like five-star materials. This is a sturdy convertible since the doors and roof can be taken off, and the components won’t break. Ford also has rubber flooring and marine-grade vinyl upholstery for people who will be inside a lot and exposed to the weather.

The four-passenger, two-door Bronco provides enough room in the back for two adults to sit comfortably. The second row of the four-door Bronco has three seats and a lot more legroom.

The cargo compartment in the four-door is bigger than the two-door’s and can hold all of the SUV’s removable doors. To go home with the two-door Bronco’s doors off, you’ll need to drop the back seats.

Infotainment and Connectivity

Ford’s latest Sync 4 in-dash software supports a 12.0-inch touchscreen embedded in the center of the 2026 Ford Bronco’s dashboard, which will be a highlight. This setup allows over-the-air updates and can wirelessly connect to the cloud and the user’s smartphone.

This is a real off-road vehicle. The driver must turn on the all-wheel-drive system while going off-road and, more crucially, turn it off when going back to regular roads. The Bronco has an independent front suspension and well-calibrated steering, which make it a good choice for everyday driving.

The Ford’s steering is more accurate than the Jeep Wrangler’s, which has live axles at both ends. The Ford also handles better overall and doesn’t need regular steering corrections on the highway, which are so taxing on the Jeep.

Some of the best features are big 35-inch mud-terrain tires, wheels with beadlock, electronic front and rear locking differentials, and an anti-roll bar disconnect mechanism that lets the wheels move farther.

2026 Ford Bronco 0-60 MPH Time

Previous tests on the Bronco version of the twin-turbo V-6 model provided the fastest acceleration times. The Wildtrak model with that engine and 10-speed automatic reaches 60 mph in 6.2 seconds, while the Everglades trim with the turbo four and automatic takes 7.1 seconds.

2026 Ford Bronco Payload

We estimate the 2026 Ford Bronco’s maximum towing capacity is 3500 pounds. This number is equal to that of the Jeep Wrangler but less than that of other rivals, such as the Toyota 4Runner.

The EPA hasn’t given out fuel economy numbers for the 2026 Ford Bronco yet, but they probably won’t change.
