Happy nice day! 2020 will be a great year for the Ford Mustang. Our vision of a futuristic Shelby GT350 comes with the help of the representation of artist Marco van Sobrebeeke. The first point of reference is the new look. It doesn’t need to be dramatic to make an impact. Mustang current is one of the most serious versions redesigned our memories, but we do not expect 2020 was a revolution design, but rather a subtle, handsome evolution.
They love it or hate it, Ford Mustang is one of the most beloved sports cars/muscle cars of all time. More than 122,000 were sold in the United States at 2015, and the company is on par with moving a similar amount of vehicles this year. Not to mention the new success of Pony Car in the pond.
But it’s only a matter of time before Mustang’s current iteration becomes an amateur souvenir, replaced by something, faster, better looking, and more efficient. If the market is any indication, 2020 could be the year Ford goes and gives its iconic coupe a serious review. This is our vision of the 2020 Ford Mustang, with a little help from the representation of artist Marco van Sobrebeeke.
The first point of reference is the new look. It doesn’t need to be dramatic to make an impact. The current Mustang was one of the most heavily redesigned versions of recent memory, so we didn’t expect 2020 to be a great design revolution, but rather, a subtle, handsome evolution. The front end is more sophisticated, announcing again to the design signs of the impressive EVOs concept introduced in 2011. It is still very easily recognizable as the iconic American muscle car that everyone knows and loves, but with the evolving sports car/muscle car market, the Mustang should follow suit.
Then there’s the power. Seen here at Shelby GT350 Spec, the Mustang should be refilling about 535 horsepower, with the rest of the alignment after the slight power surge. A 4-Cydliner will be maintained, with an increase somewhere closer to 330 horsepower to match with Chevy Camaro’s V6. It’s hard to imagine that the aging V6 will be for much longer, but shoppers still love the option for some reason, so we don’t expect it to go anywhere anytime soon. Near the top of the range, just below the GT350, the 435 horsepower GT should get a slight bump in power as well. But power will not be the most important aspect of the new Mustang.

All that newly discovered power will be as important as the lightest and most advanced platform. With the success of the new Camaro, it seems that Ford engineers are struggling to get the Mustang back on top (even though it’s still the best sale of the two).
The date of the original release for the NEWCO Mustang was planned for 2022, cutting the lifespan of the current Mustang for two years says engineers, are working something even better than what is on its way today. And this means increase of lighting.
The Mustang 2020 will be sturdy, lighter, and probably just a little shorter than the one we are seeing now (especially on the front). The current weight distribution of GT located in 53 Para 48 – expect about 50/50 with the next generation for better performance across the range curves, including V6 and 4-cylinder Spec. The present GT350 meant the re-ignited engagement of Ford in the track running, which the thought should drip down with the entire alignment when 2020 rolls around. Mustang fans should be very excited about things to come.
