2024 Ford Escape is updating its range, with the Fiesta and Focus receiving recent mid-life revisions, now it’s the Escape’s turn.
The third-generation Escape has been with us since 2019 and these images show what the upcoming facelift model will look like.
We can immediately see that the new Escape will stick closely to the design language of the Fiesta and the new Focus with a larger Ford badge in the center of the similarly shaped grille.
The entire front bumper has been redesigned as well with new side air intakes under the headlights. The headlights themselves are a new shape and there is an additional center light bar above the grille.
The facelifted Escape side looks unchanged from the current model. These specs feature body-colored sills and mirrors and blacked-out window trim.
The rear doesn’t get the kind of comprehensive update seen at the front, the headlight cluster retains the same shape with a different internal design.
There’s also a new tailgate grip, though that’s probably only for this North American version of the car.
We hope the new Escape gets an update in it too. An updated version of the Ford SYNC4 infotainment will appear, operated via the new 13.2-inch center touchscreen. The 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster will probably remain.
2024 Ford Escape Review
The Ford Escape is a major facelift type car whose prototype design has been widely circulated recently. Ford Escape is also known as Kuga in some of the world’s automotive markets.
In 2020 the Ford Escape is presented with a distinctive design so that its users are not easily forgotten.
However, to overcome the shortcomings of the previous type, we expect the 2024 Ford Escape to come with several mid-cycle upgrades for this compact crossover.
The 2024 Ford Escape looks even better with the rounded edges of the Crossover giving the updated model a bolder and bolder look.
The 2024 Ford Espace also comes with new headlights as well as a new Escape grille and it looks like it will now be taller and feature the logo in the center which is right in front of the hood.
The changes made to the Ford Escape are the rear styling which will give a dramatic impression.
In the exhaust, there is a revised fascia that seems to be a new design. The exhaust design shown on some prototypes is just a makeshift unit.
We turn to the dashboard of the 2024 Ford Escape which seems to be making big changes, don’t be surprised if large screen infotainment will also be added to the 2024 For Escape.
We expect it to be something newer than the previous Ford Escape.
Next, we expect a relatively mixed update to the 2024 Ford Escape’s powertrain which starts with a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-3 engine producing 181 hp.
The 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 offers an even greater 250 hp, and for fuel-conscious buyers, there is the 2.5-liter inline-4 offered in hybrid and plug-in hybrid configurations. They offer up to 200 and 221 hp, respectively.

2024 Ford Escape Facelift
Ford Escape — has been spied on in Germany with a lot of changes on the front.
Apart from the camouflage wrap, we can see the updated Escape has a bolder and more upright front fascia.
Slimmer headlamp units flank the taller grille, which not only rises to the top to meet the redesigned hood but also now incorporates the Blue Oval badge.
The rear, at least on this prototype, features fewer changes. The outboard taillights have a more 3D design and include a red section below the indicator lens.
Given how the taillights carry over from current production cars and don’t match the exterior unit design, it’s likely Ford has another styling update planned for future test vehicles.
We haven’t seen photos of the interior of the facelifted car yet, but there’s a good chance it will include Ford’s latest Sync 4 infotainment system and the massive 13.2-inch landscape touchscreen that already appeared in the updated Focus.
The availability of these screens could be delayed or limited by the ongoing global shortage of semiconductors, as well as supply chain problems arising from Russia’s bloody war in Ukraine.
A recent report suggests the Focus ST could lose the big screen in the near future.
Using the facelifted Focus as our guide, the revised Escape can be offered with matrix LED headlights, blind-spot assist, trailer compensation for the blind spot monitoring system, and crossing assist.
The European crossover engine lineup will likely incorporate 48V mild-hybrid technology, as well as hybrid and plug-in hybrid drivetrain options.
While the Kuga and Escape twins have been huge hits for Ford overseas – it’s the company’s second most popular passenger car in Europe and the US – the crossover has found less favor locally.
In the first two months of 2022, Ford Australia only sold 285 Escapes here, which represents just 1.1 percent of the mid-range crossover segment.
The Escape is behind the market-leading Toyota RAV4 (5879), Mazda CX-5 (4478), and Mitsubishi Outlander (3025).
The Australian-bound Escapes is sourced from a Ford factory in Spain and is essentially a rebadged version of the European Kuga.
Escapes sold in North America were made in Louisville, Kentucky, along with the associated Lincoln Corsair.

Ford Escape 2024 Price
We expect the new 2024 Ford Escape to be around $28,000, with prices going up by a few hundred dollars to cover the upgrade.
Adding all-wheel-drive increases the price by about $1,500. This price is relatively competitive with competitors’ compact SUV/crossover range
