Don’t Miss Out: New 2025 Ford Bronco Pickup Reviews

2025 Ford Bronco: The Ford Bronco has long been an icon in the world of SUVs, capturing the hearts of adventure enthusiasts and off-road aficionados alike. After a lengthy hiatus, the highly anticipated 2025 Ford Bronco has finally arrived, promising to build upon the legacy of its predecessors while incorporating modern design elements and cutting-edge technology. In the realm of automobiles, certain names evoke a sense of adventure, durability, and untamed exploration. One such name is the Ford Bronco.

For decades, the Bronco has symbolized the spirit of off-road prowess and rugged versatility, captivating the hearts of thrill-seekers and outdoor enthusiasts across the globe. After a long absence from the automotive landscape, the Ford Bronco is making a triumphant return, ready to reclaim its throne as the king of adventure vehicles.

With a history dating back to the 1960s, the Ford Bronco quickly established itself as a formidable force in the off-road world. Originally designed as a compact SUV, it didn’t take long for the Bronco to become synonymous with the boundless possibilities of exploration. From traversing treacherous mountain trails to conquering unforgiving desert dunes, the Bronco proved its mettle time and time again.

However, as with many automotive legends, the Bronco took a hiatus, leaving enthusiasts yearning for its return. But the wait is finally over. Ford has listened to the passionate pleas of Bronco fans and crafted a new chapter in the storied history of this iconic vehicle.

 2025 Ford Bronco Review

When Ford revived the Bronco moniker in 2021, it was one of the most anticipated releases in recent years. By updating and refocusing the Bronco to compete directly with the Jeep Wrangler, Ford is going all out to make it a modern, go-anywhere SUV. The Bronco is available with two or four doors, a manual or automatic gearbox, and significant off-road hardware, making it suitable for almost any off-road enthusiast. We believe Ford is unlikely to make any significant revisions to the 2025 Bronco.

Casual buyers may associate off-roading only with driving along sandy routes, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The Bronco provides enough alternatives, either through add-ons or hardware, to handle almost any type of off-road you can think of. In its most basic version, the Bronco’s ground clearance and standard four-wheel drive allow it to navigate most roads with ease.

If you want slower, more complex off-roading over boulders, the Sasquatch Bronco kit comes with some excellent and tough off-road hardware. If you like going as fast as you can through the dirt, the Bronco Raptor adds power shocks, a more powerful engine, and recalibrated stability control to help you realize your desert ambitions.

The Bronco is closely related to the Jeep Wrangler. Both cars can go almost anywhere and have similar off-road capabilities, ranging from mild to wild. Toyota’s 4Runner is also worth a look. It’s getting older, but when properly equipped, the Toyota delivers nearly the same off-road capability but behaves much better and is much quieter on the open road.

2025 Ford Bronco Update

Due to increased demand and global supply chain constraints, Ford Motor Company was forced to discontinue the entry-level Bronco Base trim, and now its entry into the lineup starts at the higher $39,130 price of the Bronco Big Bend 2-Door. The 4-Door costs $39,870, and there are plenty of variations – Black Diamond, Heritage Edition, Outer Banks, Badlands, Everglades, Wildtrak, and Heritage Limited Edition (the 4-Door costs more than $71,000) – to pick a favorite.

As a result, with two- and four-door variants, several special editions, and a host of trims, you’d assume everyone would be satisfied. Even the powertrain choices are impressive: the 2.3-liter EcoBoost inline-four turbo engine can be had with a seven-speed manual transmission instead of the ten-speed 10R60 automatic, and there are two possible EcoBoost V6s. If the EcoBoost’s 300 and 330 horsepower aren’t enough, the $89,835 Bronco Raptor has at least 400 hp – and 418 hp in Baja mode!

However, there is a threat on the horizon. Stellantis has finally upgraded its iconic Jeep Wrangler for the 2024 model year, and it’s priced at ‘only’ a little over $32k. Plus, even though the Toyota 4Runner may seem older than the Earth itself, it’s still competition to be reckoned with – especially if the rumors are true and the Japanese automaker introduces a new generation for the 2025 model year.

As a result, Ford might at least follow Jeep’s lead and give the Bronco a proper facelift for the 2025 model year. But don’t worry if that doesn’t happen in real life; The inventive arena of digital car content providers has addressed this – even if only electronically. YouTube channel AutomagzPro has some AI-assisted CGI thoughts on the facelift, which they combined with the long-rumored Ford Bronco Hybrid SUV to make the unofficial announcement even more interesting.

Frankly, it’s anyone’s guess whether Ford will make any major changes to the design when the mid-cycle update is revealed – the channel’s pixel master provides at least two different possibilities for revised LED headlights and taillights. Regarding the hybrid powertrain, an electric alternative has been rumored for a long time, and claims have been around since 2020.

However, this doesn’t rule out the possibility of a Bronco Hybrid, which could easily borrow the powertrain from the F-150 PowerBoost hybrid, especially considering the automaker’s efforts to make it more accessible to more customers. Alternatively, it may emerge as an excellent PHEV with a Ranger Plug-in Hybrid configuration to compete with the Jeep Wrangler 4xe.

2025 Ford Bronco Redesign

Despite facing several production challenges before and after its launch, the Ford Bronco has finally made its way to customers. However, a recent report from Ford Authority suggests that we shouldn’t get too comfortable with the current design of the SUV.

According to the publication, Ford plans to give the Bronco a mid-cycle facelift for the 2025 model year, although the extent of the redesign remains uncertain.

The information originates from “sources familiar with the Bronco’s production schedule,” as cited by Ford Authority, so it’s important to take it with some caution. Nevertheless, a refresh for 2025 doesn’t seem overly surprising. In recent years, automakers have seemingly accelerated their refresh schedules.

For example, Lincoln is already planning a facelift for the Corsair, which debuted in 2020. If Ford decides to update the Bronco’s fascias, it might aim to preserve the SUV’s retro flair while making more subtle changes.

Ford has faced difficulties in delivering Broncos to customers, primarily due to issues with the hardtops. As a result, the company announced that it will replace all the molded-in color hardtops. Additionally, Ford is preparing to unveil the rugged Ford Bronco Raptor, which is scheduled for release in 2022.

The Bronco Raptor is expected to offer even greater off-road capability and potentially increased power under the hood. The specific powertrain for the Bronco Raptor remains unknown, as Ford has multiple options to consider.

The development of an automobile doesn’t end with its initial debut or when deliveries begin. Engineers and designers continuously explore new ideas and possibilities for the next iterations of the vehicle. While we don’t have details on how Ford plans to refresh the Bronco in a few years, we’re excited to witness the evolution of its design.

The Bronco already possesses the visual appeal and performance of a winner; now, Ford needs to ensure that more of them find their way into driveways.

2025 Bronco Refresh

Time flies in the automotive world, and it feels like just yesterday that the 2021 Ford Bronco was unveiled. While the launch of the sixth-generation Bronco has had its challenges, the automaker is now making progress and even scheduling production for new 2021 hardtop orders, a previously uncertain development.

However, as the saying goes, time waits for no one, and sources familiar with the Bronco’s production schedule have revealed that a refresh is still planned for the 2025 model year, according to Ford Authority.

This aligns with the common practice of mid-cycle refreshes occurring every 3-4 years in the automotive industry. Meanwhile, Ford has an exciting lineup of new Bronco models on the horizon. One of the most anticipated is the Ford Bronco Raptor, which was recently teased and is set to debut in the 2022 model year, as reported by the Ford Authority last month.

2025 Ford Bronco

The Bronco Raptor is expected to be powered by Ford’s 3.0L EcoBoost V6, as previously reported exclusively by Ford Authority earlier this year. Positioned as an ultra-high-performance variant of the rugged SUV, the Bronco Raptor will showcase distinctive design elements such as bold “FORD” lettering in place of the “Bronco” script, wide fender flares, large off-road tires, and the iconic trio of amber lights on the grille’s top center. Additionally, the vehicle will undergo suspension modifications to enhance its off-road capabilities.

Ford will also introduce at least one more variant to the 2022 Bronco lineup, potentially including a mysterious model known as the Everglades. The 2022 Bronco will see the addition of two new exterior colors—Eruption Green and Hot Pepper Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat—as well as a new Capable front bumper, the availability of a manual transmission option with the Sasquatch package, a roof rack for four-door Broncos equipped with the Sasquatch package, and the potential introduction of other special edition models. Moreover, Ford Authority recently reported that the Wildtrak variant will replace its standard MIC hardtop with a soft top.

While the 2021 Bronco continues to make its mark, Ford is already planning for the future by preparing for a refresh in 2025. In the meantime, enthusiasts can look forward to the upcoming Bronco Raptor and other exciting additions to the Bronco lineup in 2022, as Ford strives to deliver a diverse range of options for adventure-seekers and off-road enthusiasts.

2025 Bronco Specs

The Ford Bronco 2025 is available in two variants: the two-door and four-door models. Both versions offer exceptional off-road capabilities, thanks to their robust construction, high-ground clearance, and advanced 4×4 systems. With a range of powerful engine options, including EcoBoost variants, the Bronco ensures that drivers have plenty of power and performance at their disposal.

Ford Bronco Off-Road SUV

After a 24-year absence, the iconic Bronco has made a comeback, but Ford’s launch of the off-road SUV couldn’t have been more challenging. Quality issues with the hardtop and the ongoing chip shortage have posed difficulties for both the Dearborn-based automaker and potential buyers.

Despite the high demand and production constraints, Ford Authority reports that a mid-cycle revamp is planned for the 2025 model year. This aligns with the industry norm of redesigns occurring every three to four years. However, specific details about the enhancements remain unknown, as anything can happen between now and 2024 for the 2025 model year.

In the meantime, Ford is taking steps to address certain issues. They are replacing the original molded-in-color hardtops with redesigned units on vehicles that have already been built. The company is also preparing for the upcoming 2022 model year, which includes the highly anticipated Bronco Raptor.

Expected to feature the 3.0-liter EcoBoost twin-turbocharged V6 engine from the Explorer ST, this beastly variant, equipped with 37-inch tires, will serve as the range-topping trim level.

Another newcomer to the lineup is the Everglades, identified by order code 922A. This model is reportedly only available with four doors and may include a high-rise intake, also known as a snorkel, on the front passenger’s A-pillar.

The 2022 Bronco has already been confirmed to offer two new exterior colors—Eruption Green and Hot Pepper Red—along with a roof rack for the four-door Sasquatch equipped with the hardtop. Additionally, a new front bumper, known as the Capable Bumper, will be introduced.

The Wildtrak variant will be transitioning from a molded-in-color hardtop to a soft top. Notably, Sasquatch-equipped models will now have the option of a seven-speed manual transmission, but it is limited to the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine.

 2025 Ford Bronco Interior

The Bronco Sport’s current infotainment system is outdated. It still runs Ford’s Sync 3 software and sports a small 8.0-inch touchscreen.

A 2024 Mustang prototype has been photographed testing what appears to be Sync 4 and a new 13.2-inch curved display. Another software option could be Ford’s new Digital Experience infotainment system, which debuts with the 2025 Explorer.

The Bronco Sport may receive changes to the off-road mode. We anticipate the Bronco Sport Prototype being seen on Goodyear Wrangler Territory all-terrain tires. (Fun fact: the Bronco’s tires are labeled “Goodyear Goodyear” to avoid identification with any particular Jeep).

These tires are not the same as those seen on the current top-of-the-line Badlands off-road option Bronco Sport. It’s unclear whether the Badlands trim will be upgraded or if Ford intends to offer a higher trim level.

2025 Ford Bronco Exterior

The exterior of the 2025 Ford Bronco is designed to withstand the toughest terrains. Its high ground clearance, sturdy suspension, and off-road tires make it a formidable companion on any adventure.

The Bronco is equipped with various off-road features such as skid plates, rock rails, and removable doors and roof panels, allowing drivers to fully embrace the outdoor experience.

All-New 2025 Ford Bronco Models

2025 Ford Bronco

2025 Ford Bronco Sport

Ford revived the Bronco in 2021, much to the delight of many fans, but the company did so as a sub-brand with multiple models, which surprised some. The first “Bronco” arriving in 2021 is the Bronco Sport, a smaller crossover with Bronco-style features.

Of course, as time goes by, the Bronco Sport will need to be refreshed soon. A prototype of this smaller, ahem, Built Wild (Ford Bronco brand motto) SUV has been spotted testing.

Here’s what we know so far about the facelifted 2025 Bronco Sport.

Update

Along with the big horizontal look, the baby Bronco is seen sporting big, powerful Goodyear all-terrain tires. The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport is set for a mid-cycle facelift, which could include a larger touchscreen and new off-road options. With a disguised prototype roaming the streets, our spy photographers picked up some interesting elements that anticipate significant modifications to the baby Bronco.

A camouflaged Ford Bronco Sport prototype was spotted with a large touchscreen that resembles the Ford Mustang’s 13.2-inch Sync 4 system. The Bronco Sport also has Goodyear Wrangler Territory all-terrain tires, which differ from the Falken WildPeak tires on the current Badlands variant.

While the spy photos we obtained don’t show any obvious additional modifications, we expect some styling revisions for the 2025 model year.

Prototypes

Ford has been spotted testing prototypes for the updated Bronco Sport, and some test vehicles saw improvements that suggest a more off-road competent version of the compact crossover is in development.

Badlands is now the most capable Bronco Sport. Ford now provides a Black Diamond Off-Road Package for the Big Bend and Outer Banks grades. More off-road competent variants will probably be classified as a new class.

The prototype is carefully hidden but can be seen with new fascias at the front and rear. It can be engineered to increase approach and departure angles and possibly accommodate larger skid plates. Some prototypes appear to have better ground clearance than the regular Bronco Sport’s 8.8 inches.

Another important clue is the choice of tires. Some prototypes were equipped with Goodyear Territory RT tires instead of the Falken Wildpeak AT tires currently available on the Bronco Sport. The tires are also wrapped in a new rim design that resembles the tough style featured on the New Mustang Mach-E Rally 2024.

A look inside reveals the updated dashboard design. The 8.0-inch infotainment screen of the current model is gone. In its place is a much larger screen in landscape mode. It will likely be 13.2 inches, which matches the screen available on top Ford Escape models.

A dual-ended exhaust is also seen, although the design is just a temporary unit used for testing and will change as development continues.

Currently, the Bronco Sport is available with a 1.5-liter turbo-3 with 181 hp or a 2.0-liter turbo-4 with 250 hp. There are rumors of a hybrid option, but it’s unclear if that’s what’s being tried here.

The redesigned Bronco Sport will debut next year as a 2025 model. If Ford is planning a new Bronco Sport model, it will likely launch alongside the rest of the revised model lineup.

2025 Ford Bronco

Larger Touchscreen

The Bronco Sport shares a base with the Ford Escape, which has received numerous changes for the 2023 model year, including a new 13.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The same display, which features Ford’s Sync 4 software, debuted on the new-for-2024 Mustang, and it now appears to be making its way to the Bronco Sport’s dashboard.

The new touchscreen is significantly larger than the 8.0-inch Sync 3 display that is now standard on all Bronco Sport trim levels. While we don’t know for sure, it’s likely that the smaller display will stay standard on lower-spec models, as is the case with the Escape series.

The Bronco Sport’s extra-wide touchscreen takes up the space previously occupied by vertically oriented air vents. That means they’ll be shifted lower along the centre stack, most likely horizontally. It remains to be seen whether the HVAC controls will be altered.

New Goodyear Wrangler tyres.

As it stands, the Bronco Sport Badlands is the most off-road-focused variant. It now sports Falken WildPeak all-terrain tyres in the size of 235/65R-17, as well as exclusive dirt-specific hardware.

The prototypes we saw had a different sort of A/T rubber, which could indicate that Ford would launch a new model or special edition, possibly dubbed Everglades or Wildtrak. These two models are positioned above the Badlands in Ford’s full-size Bronco lineup.

More specifically, the infant Bronco was equipped with Goodyear Wrangler Territory all-terrain tyres, which are the same size as the WildPeak. Except, as with its bigger sibling, the term Wrangler has been deleted from the sidewall to avoid mentioning the Bronco’s rival, the Jeep Wrangler.

Ford has not provided any formal information regarding a Bronco Sport facelift. We expect the improvements to be announced in 2024 for the 2025 model year.

2025 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands

The Ford Bronco Sport launched for the 2021 model year as a more rugged, off-road competent crossover with a reasonable price tag and a long history. Since then, the Bronco Sport has seen only minor improvements over the years, including the usual additions and deletions of colors, as well as the overhaul of certain trim levels and the inclusion of new variants and packages. Ford Authority, on the other hand, has spotted testing a 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands model with some interesting features.

The most striking feature of this 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands prototype is its taller height, as this crossover has much higher performance than other models in the lineup. Underneath, a set of beefy-looking tires take advantage of the higher ride height, clearly complementing this crossover’s beefier ambitions.

As a result, it makes sense that this prototype indicates Ford is considering developing a new, more capable version of the Bronco Sport, perhaps one that sits above the Badlands in the lineup. On non-Sport Bronco, this model is known as the Bronco Raptor.

2025 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands

Additionally, there’s a lot of camouflage covering the front and rear of this 2025 Ford Bronco Sport, which is common for prototypes with design changes as part of a mid-cycle update. As a result, it’s hard to see any details, but we can still see the familiar round headlights peeking through the camouflage, which will most likely be complemented by some updates to the lighting, grille, and/or front bumper, which could also be replicated at the rear with the revised design of the rear door, taillights and/or bumper. Cameras can also be seen in the side mirrors, indicating the presence of a 360-degree camera system.

As Ford Authority reported in September 2021, a hybrid powertrain for the Bronco Sport, initially expected to debut in the 2024 model year, has long been speculated to be in the works. Regardless, this rugged crossover looks like it’s here to stay for the foreseeable future, as previous reports indicated that the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport would continue to ride on the Ford C2 platform through 2030, with a product end date of July 31, 2031 – the 11th production year that should be supported by updates like refreshes and redesigns along the way.

 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Hybrid

So far the Bronco Hybrid model has been reported by Automotive News in 2021 that the Bronco Sport will get a hybrid option, possibly in 2024. And, thanks to the C2 platform shared by the Bronco Sport and several other cars, Ford already has several potential solutions in mind. compatible.

The current Maverick has a 191-horsepower 2.5-liter inline-four hybrid engine. Power output is roughly the same as the Bronco Sport’s base 1.5-liter turbo engine but the Maverick hybrid isn’t yet all-wheel drive compatible, so it might not be the right choice for the Baby Bronc. Ford may also offer the 310-horsepower hybrid setup of the Lincoln Nautilus as an upgrade.

2025 Bronco Raptor

Ford Bronco Raptor 2025: On the other hand, the 2025 Bronco Raptor is a high-performance SUV that outperforms its off-road predecessor. The Raptor model, unlike the regular Bronco, has a 418 hp twin-turbo V-6 engine, a Fox suspension system with enhanced off-road performance, and 37-inch all-terrain tires for optimal traction.

The new 2025 Ford Bronco Raptor will of course be equipped with plenty of protective plates underneath, which will give you an idea of what this beast is capable of. The Bronco Raptor blasted to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds in our testing, and although our testing was on pavement, it was nearly as quick on almost any other terrain.

Apart from its off-road prowess, the Bronco Raptor is a highly advanced street vehicle. Its extra-wide shape makes it harder to park than a standard SUV, but it provides a smooth enough ride to be used as everyday family transportation. The Bronco Raptor’s adaptability makes it a favorite among our editors.

For 2024, the ultimate Bronco gets a new Code Orange package. This appearance package includes orange and gray graphics that stretch across the rear fender to the rear window. There are also orange tow hooks, hood graphics, orange seat belts and 17-inch alloy wheels with orange accents. In addition to the Code Orange package, 2024 introduces two additional colors for the Bronco Raptor: Shelter Green and Velocity Blue. Method Race Wheels has released new 17-inch wheel options in a variety of colors, including Oxford White, Method Bronze, and Matte Black.

2025 Bronco Raptor

We expect the 2025 Bronco Raptor to be equipped with a 418 hp 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 with 440 pound-feet of torque under the hood. The engine is only available with a 10-speed automatic transmission and an advanced four-wheel drive system with G.O.A.T. (Beyond All Terrain).

The Ford Bronco Raptor gets 15 mpg in the city and just 16 mpg on the highway, according to the EPA. That matches the F-150 Raptor’s estimated city mileage on 35-inch tires but falls 2 mpg short of the big pickup’s highway rating.

With its high-flying acceleration, 4,500-pound towing capacity, and surprising road refinement, the 2025 Bronco Raptor might be the perfect vehicle for a vehicle that can take kids to school while also easily traversing uneven terrain. The Bronco Raptor is capable of both.

2025 Ford Bronco Facelift

Interestingly, the 2025 Ford Bronco Facelift is the result of the sixth generation Bronco which is the Ranger twin introduced in 2020 as a 2021 model. A mid-cycle overhaul is expected in 2025, while nothing is known about the facelift.

It’s also worth noting that no 2025 Ford Bronco prototypes have been photographed yet. Regardless, pixel painters continue to produce wildly inaccurate renditions of newcomers. The design study in the video below was done by Next-Gen Car, and the first thing that stands out is the FRONCD lettering on the radiator grille. How about a free AI art generator?

The top-hinged rear door displays unintelligible symbols. The rear lights, as well as the shape of the rear pillars and roof, are also deviated. The poor outlook on the 2025 Bronco has been described as misleading. It’s more of a crossover than a body-on-frame sports vehicle.

Considering paparazzi have yet to find a prototype in the wild, what kind of design changes might we expect? First and foremost, there’s no doubt that Dearborn’s beloved son will make slight changes to his trademark round headlights. Rather than a hatchback-style rear door, the pre-facelift Bronco’s side-hinged rear door will remain essentially intact due to the factory-issued spare wheel cover.

In terms of cabin, there is one thing that stands out: the infotainment system. SYNC 4A is standard on the 2024 Ford Ranger, while SYNC 4 is standard on the 2024 Bronco. As a general rule, SYNC 4A uses a portrait-oriented touchscreen rather than a landscape display like the SYNC 4. The 4 has touchscreen sizes ranging from 8 to 12 inches, while the 4A measures 12 to 15.5 inches.

2025 Ford Bronco Facelift

There are increasing indications that the plug-in hybrid will join the 2.3-liter EcoBoost I4, 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6, and Raptor-only 3.0er engine options. Plug-in hybrids appear to be coming soon, from the EV Coaching feature yours truly detailed in July 2020 to Ford confirming new versions of the Bronco (and Maverick) as early as November 2023.

Considering Ford recently launched the Ranger PHEV for Europe, it’s only a matter of time before the Bronco can compete with the Jeep Wrangler 4xe. On the other hand, the Bronco PHEV could be aimed at markets outside the United States.

The Ranger PHEV, which will go on sale in late 2024 for the 2025 model year, combines a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-pot turbo engine with an electric motor, high-voltage battery and the Ranger’s 10-speed automatic transmission. Under WLTP, Ford Motor Company targets a range of more than 45 kilometers (28 miles), which is more optimistic than the EPA’s mileage determination method.

With hybrid versions of the Maverick and F-150 already available, it wouldn’t make sense for the Dearborn-based automaker to market the Ranger PHEV in the United States.

2025 Ford Bronco Price

Jeep’s Gladiator starts at more than $35,000—rich for a midsize pickup, particularly one lacking power windows, door locks, mirrors, or even a solid roof. Such is the “fun tax” for a 2025 Bronco Truck with standard four-wheel drive and the iconic Wrangler’s sense of adventure.

The Bronco 2025 pickup, like the SUV version, will probably slightly undercut the Jeep’s price and come standard with more features. Even so, that’ll place the 2025 Bronco Truck MSRP thousands higher than a similar Ranger’s.

Pricing details for the 2022 Bronco have yet to be released, as production is expected to start in the latter half of December. However, it is anticipated to fall within a similar range as the outgoing lineup.

As a quick reminder, the base trim with two doors starts at $29,995 (including the $1,495 freight charge), while the four-door variant begins at $34,695.
