The F-150 has direct and fast steering, which makes it feel nimble to maneuver in parking lots and stable on the highway. However, the brakes are another story, requiring 149 feet to stop the Raptor from 60 mph. That’s the distance usually reserved for heavy-duty pickup trucks, and we can blame the off-road tires, but it’s still quite a distance.

It has a locking differential, 37-inch tires available, and a broader, longer-travel suspension. There’s almost no place this thing can’t go. The 2026 Ford Raptor is best used in wide-open spaces, not on tight mountain trails.

2026 Ford Raptor EcoBoost V-6

The F-150 Raptor’s standard engine is a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 that produces 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque. It is channeled through a 10-speed automatic transmission to 4WD. With this engine, the Raptor accelerates to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds. Fuel economy should be around 14/18 mpg city/highway.
