Hennessey Ford Bronco Love the new Ford Bronco? Love the big V8? Then people suspect you’ll like this. Hennessey Performance Engineering has announced its intention to modify the reborn Ford off-roader by equipping it with a massive V8. To be precise, the car was named ‘VelociRaptor V8 Bronco’.
And with that comes the 5.0 liter Ford V8, treated to a 3.0-liter supercharger system, air-to-water intercooler, upgraded injectors, upgraded fuel system, and stainless steel exhaust arrangement. The shiny new V8 is mated to a Ford 10-speed automatic gearbox. We were surprised Hennessey didn’t push a few extra teeth in there. More is better, right?
Power from this modified Bronco hit 750bhp – a pretty high jump from the 310bhp offered by the factory Ecoboost V6 engine – and that translates to a 0-60mph time of 4.5 seconds. The car’s new visual greatness comes thanks to a new hood with the all-important scoop, new aluminum wheels, lots of badges, a special livery, a new grille, and even an embroidered headrest.
Underneath, HPE will match the upgraded off-road suspension with off-road tires, you get a new ECU, a three-year / 36,000-mile HPE warranty, and even a numbered placard detailing which 24 cars are yours.
That’s right, only 24 of these ‘VelociRaptor V8 Bronco’ cars will be built, costing $ 225,000 each, plus vehicle shipping. Expensive, yes, but don’t forget the ‘V8’ and ‘750 horsepower.’
“I want to make the best Ford Bronco for me and our customers,” explained HPE boss John Hennessey. “The Bronco 2021 is perhaps one of the most desirable vehicles since the introduction of the Ford GT.
“We hope to take the new Bronco to the next level and beyond,” he added.

You can’t even order the 2021 Ford Bronco yet, but Hennessey has already announced plans to offer the Velociraptor V8 Bronco. The company plans to build just 24 units for the 2021 model year, and each will sell for $ 225,000 plus shipping the vehicle.
There’s a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 under the hood that makes 750 horsepower (559 kilowatts) attached to a Ford 10-speed automatic. This is an upgrade from the production model EcoBoost 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine with 310 hp (231 kW) of power and 400 pound-feet (542 Newton-meters) of torque. Hennessey estimated the Velociraptor Bronco could reach 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) in 4.5 seconds.

In addition to the supercharged V8, Hennessey adjusted its Bronco with a new hood with vents at the front to suck air. There’s also an air-to-water intercooler, high airflow induction, and an upgraded fuel system. Gas exits from an upgraded stainless steel exhaust.
The company also improved the suspension and adapted a larger wheel and tire package. There are new front and rear bumpers with LED lighting. The interior has custom leather upholstery.

Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE) will take the new Ford Bronco to the next level when it goes into production next year: the VelociRaptor V8 Bronco.
It will be powered by a supercharged 5.0-liter Ford V8 engine producing 750 hp and mated to a Ford 10-speed automatic transmission. HPE estimates that increased power and performance will reduce vehicle time from 0-60 mph to just 4.5 seconds.
Other enhancements include a custom hood with bigger wheel scoops and better tire suspension system, leather interior, Hennessey, custom graphics, racing livery, VelociRaptor V8, improved stainless steel exhaust, and more.
Production will be limited to a total of 24 units for the 2021 model year. VelociRaptor V8 Bronco is available in 2-door and 4-door configurations and comes with a 3 year / 36,000 miles warranty from Hennessey.

Ford has no plans to drop the V-8 into its modern Bronco to challenge the V-8-powered Jeep Wrangler is cooking, but that’s why we have the after-sales market.
And one of the first aftermarket firms to promise a V-8 powered Bronco was Hennessey. On Wednesday, the Sealy, Texas-based tuner unveiled the VelociRaptor V8 Bronco which can be ordered directly from Hennessey or through select Ford dealers.
The most powerful 2021 Bronco announced by Blue Oval is equipped with a 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 engine that produces 310 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. For its VelociRaptor V8 Bronco, Hennessey will swap it for a 5.0 liter Ford Coyote V-8. The engines produce up to 480 hp on their own in some Ford vehicles but rather than stop there, Hennessey plans to install a supercharger to help unleash 758 hp. Hennessey will also upgrade the intake and exhaust systems, along with the fuel system, to keep that power flowing.
Mated to a Bronco 10-speed automatic, the supercharged engine will accelerate the SUV from 0-60 mph in about 4.5 seconds.
A few styling mods should differentiate Hennessey’s Bronco from the stock version. It will include a custom hood with scoops, more aggressive front and rear fascias along with a custom grille, and custom aluminum wheels with off-road tires. Hennessey also said he would upgrade the suspension to improve off-road capability.
Only 24 examples are planned for the 2021 model year and the price of one will start at $ 225,000. Yes, that’s more than four times the price of a fully-loaded Bronco but Hennessey has a long history of tuning vehicles, including swapping out V-6 engines for V-8s at Ford, and unlike many others in the business, it offers a limited warranty.
Before you rush to order the VelociRaptor V8 Bronco, note that Ford itself is working on a tougher Bronco along the lines of the Raptor model. It will also stay with V-6 power but we are sure Hennessey will have a V-8 conversion ready for it, too, when it lands.
